Sorry about my rants... I have so many... But I like the announcement you get at the district convention about not milling around during the session, yet you can see about 3,000 people wandering around aimlessly. Or better yet, how encouraging is KH cleaning when you get a list of your designated duties. Unfortunately, everyone else takes off right after the song, so you end up cleaning the whole hall yourself.

Crushing and suffocating are the best ways to describe it... I mean, there are so many things that don't quite make sense to me, yet we are just told to have faith, and just BELIEVE it. Instead of explaining why something is a certain way. My wife realized this a long time ago, it just took me longer to figure it out. 26 years I guess.

Lady Lee, That is so true!! Have we ever wondered why so many people are sick and depressed?? Its because you have not freakin time to rest your battered body after a whole week of work and stress!! Heaven forbid you cant wake up for service!! I guess one of the highlights was what happened a few weeks ago. My wife had a talk scheduled for the ministry school.. and she couldnt do it because she felt down. So she called the overseer the night before to let him know... instead of him being understanding, what did he say? "Why didnt you tell me earlier so that I could find a fill-in?" Can you believe that?? In all her years, she had NEVER missed an assignment, yet she was criticized now for cancelling?? The best part is, the overseer and his wife ignore us now at the hall.. they used to always come up and say hello..

the stupid thing is that I went along with the pressure from my family... and in turn pressured my wife to come to meetings. the best part was after we had our child.. we were expected to be there the next meeting!! hello!! you shouldnt bring your newborn to big crowds for at least a few months!! i am so glad my wife didnt cave in there... but when you do come back, everyone asks you "oh where were you" or they make you feel bad. for heavens sakes, ironically enough, my wife is due with our 2nd baby the same weekend as our district convention this year, and already a comment was made that we would be bringing the baby to the convention. I DONT THINK SO !! a 2 day year old baby coming to a crowd of 18,000 people?? the lack of empathy and understanding just blows me away....

In my opinion, Field Service was nothing but a game to see who could get the most hours in every month. The winner gets gossipped about. That was the funniest thing I have heard all day... LMAO

True enough... I mean, like I said, I do agree with the principles, and the fact that we do have a Creator. But... I'm sorry, but I guess I was just never a good "head" of the household. I was never able to keep up a regular family study every week, do 1/2 hr bible reading every day, watchtower, ministry school, college, work, wife, child!!! and i would sit there at the assembly, and here the expereinecs of the model family, every one of their kids are pioneers, they do their text every morning, study every publication out there.. i tried that!! i tried everything! and i couldnt do it!! and i felt like a complete failure not doing it!! i'm sorry, but if we are doing a volunteer work, why do we have to record every single thing every month? isnt that for show???i am sure not everyone is honest about their quota of hours every month!!
